FALL CLEAN-UP DAY NEEDS YOU!
Some of you might not know this, but in part of our consideration for the environment, (that’s what the “E” in our name stands for!), MI-TRALE, (Michigan Trails and Recreation Alliance of Land and the Environment), has adopted the two-mile stretch of State Highway M-28 heading East from the Bruce Crossing Fire Department to be kept clean of litter. Our Fall Clean-Up Day is Saturday, September 19th. We need a few volunteers, ages at least 12 years or older, to help with the Clean-Up.
The plan is to have all the volunteers gather up at the Stannard Township Hall Building, 14927 Highway M-28 East, Bruce Crossing, MI 49912, (the same building in which the Fire Department is located/directly across the street from Settler’s Co-op), at 9:00am on Saturday morning September 19th. There would be a quick meeting to do a refresh on the safety protocols from the video you will have watched, collect the necessary equipment and then it would be on to the Clean-Up.
We are looking for about six people who can donate their time to this good cause. It’s a great way to do something to help a local community and be out in the fresh Fall air. Those of you wishing to lend us a hand with our Adopted Highway Fall Clean-Up, please contact either MI-TRALE member Heather Palmer through our FACEBOOK Page with a message to MI-TRALE leaving your email address, name and phone number or member Tim Peacy via his email of: treewrangler906@yahoo.com and leave your name and phone number, so that he can get in touch with you. You will be contacted with further details. Here’s hoping we see you in September as part of our Clean-Up crew!
